Meet Emmett

Emmett White is the artist behind Get Stuffed Taxidermy. A life-long birdwatcher and nature enthusiast, Emmett has long held a simple belief: nature is art.

 

That idea forms the foundation of his taxidermy practice—creating work that highlights the beauty and diversity of the natural world. Through both realistic and abstract compositions, he crafts mounts that appeal to sportsmen, collectors, and nature lovers alike.

 

His interest in taxidermy began in 2020, after purchasing a vintage deer head at a thrift store. The moment he brought it home, he knew he had found a calling. Within a month, he had a workshop and specimens to learn with. Emmett has trained under some of the Northeast’s most prolific taxidermists and has created mounts for the American Museum of Natural History’s research collection.

Emmett is a Licensed taxidermist in North Carolina and is federally permitted to handle migratory game birds.
